DESCRIPTION
Feozlne is a preparation of Folic Acid and Zinc. Folic Acid is the member of B-Vitamin group. It is reduced in the body to tetrahydro folate, which is the co-enzyme for various metabolic processes including the synthesis of purine and pyrimidine nucleotides, and hence the synthesis of DNA. Folic Acid deficiency in pregnant women has been implicated in neural tube defects and neural tube defects result in the malformations of the spine (spina bifida), skull- and brain (anencephaly). Deficiency of Folic Acid may cause megaloblastic anaemia, develops when the dietary intake is inadequate as in malnutrition, from malabsorption and from increased utilization as in pregnancy and conditions such as haemolytic anaemia. Zinc is an essential trace element required for human body enzyme system. Zinc plays a critical role in normal growth and development, cellular integrity and many biological functions, including protein synthesis and nucleic acid metabolism. Severe Zinc deficiency increases susceptibility of infections and cognitive impairment.
INDICATIONS
1.Feozin is indicated as the prophylaxis and in the treatment of Folic Acid and Zinc deficiencies. 2. It is indicated for the normal growth and development of fetus during pregnancy. 3. It is needed during the period of rapid growth of body in childhood.
DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION
