Hunny^®, an oral solution containing glycerol and liquid sucrose, acts by blocking sensory cough receptors within the respiratory tract. Glycerol also has demulcent properties (soothing effect).
 

Hunny^® is indicated for relief of irritating, tickling dry coughs and sore throats.

Oral administration only.

Adults and children over 5 years: 10 ml

Children 1 to 5 years: 5 ml
The dose may be repeated 3-4 times a day
Children 3 months to 1 year: 5 ml

Elderly: No need for dosage reduction in the elderly
 

No side effect would be anticipated.

Hunny^® is for oral consumption only. It is not for injection. Diabetic patients should take note of the carbohydrate content of this product.
 

There is no sufficient data to establish the safety of the Hunny^® in pregnancy and lactation. Nevertheless Hunny^®, or any other medication should be used during pregnancy or lactation only if clearly necessary.
 

Over dosage would not be expected to cause any problems and treatment would be merely symptomatic and supportive.
 

No clinically significant interaction is known.

Store in a cool, dry place and away from light. Keep out of reach of children.
 

Hunny^® oral solution: Amber glass bottle containing 100 ml oral solution. Each 5 ml contains glycerol BP 37.5 mg and liquid sucrose BP 96.5 mg.
